This is our second time in the Rochester area.  We had screen at Plainview-Elgin-Millville HS in 2023, and just like then, we received wonderful support from the Dover-Eyota community. Thanks to Kathy Gust and members of the Dover-Eyota Community Foundation for inviting us and providing hospitality, to DEHS-AD Tim Andring, students and staff for letting us use their beautiful school and helping us set up & take down.

As part of our mission, we provide host schools with AEDs as a thanks for allowing us to use their facility, and to save lives. DEHS needed an AED outside near the stadium, so we provided a wall-mounted SAVESTATION which is weatherproof, and temperature controlled, allowing the AEDs to be ready for use year-round.

An important part of our screening process is the Echocardiogram (Echo). We want to thank Philips Electronics and the local Philips rep. Jason Anderson for loaning us two additional echo machines, and for our volunteer echo technicians and students who help identify structural defects.

Betsy Wilson coordinated the medical providers. Thanks to Bob Wilson, Scott Sakaguchi, Dave Homans, Jane Linderbaum, Andrew Moore, Ahmad Amin, Crystal Bonnichsen and Steve Heifetz for taking time out of their busy schedules to review the results and explain them to the kids and parents. We are grateful for all you do.

Last and certainly not least, to all our volunteers, THANK YOU! Set up, take down, recruiting, data entry, directing, hospitality, and testing, thank you for showing up and sharing your time to help us save lives. We cannot do this without you.

Our next heart screen is Saturday November 15 at Roseville Area Middle School, in Little Canada.
