Play for Patrick Tourney Screening Recap

Our 5th Annual Play For Patrick Tournament Heart Screen is in the books. 148 kids screened, 141 Normal, 7 Elevated Blood Pressure after repeated check & 113 kids & adults taught CPR/AED awareness.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers for braving the bad weather and treacherous roads to help screen young hearts, the tournament participants and all who donated at today’s event.

A special thanks to Eagan and Eastview Youth Hockey Associations for coordinating the tournament and giving us their support. We appreciate the opportunity to screen young hockey hearts on #HDM2020

From August 2015 to January 2020 the Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation conducted 21 Play for Patrick youth heart screens. Screened 3,486 kids, found 210 with elevated blood pressure (w/repeated check), 245 with abnormal electrical or structural heart defects, taught 3,161 kids & adults CPR & AED awareness and donated 10 AEDs to area Schools.
